Due to schedule changes, ESL/ELD will not begin sessions until Wednesday, Sept 11th. We will continue to pull students for testing. Please get your schedule forms back ASAP. Extra forms are in the ESL/ELD box. The following teachers need to still return schedule forms: Stoops, Farmer, Schram, Buckles, and Stockstell.

From Julia Willis and the Family Faculty Association - We will be having a Spell-a-thon this year to help raise money for the classrooms. The beginning of October is the target start date. More information to come….

...and finally, in the category of Just Too Doggone Good to Edit... Next to the white board is an order form to purchase an Onaga Embalmed Jacket. Several colors are available and sizes too. The cost is $29.00. Order deadline date is Sept 20th. Youth jackets are available for $ 27.00.

 
Yucca Valley will be hosting its fifth annual "Starry Nights Festival" on October 25 & 26, 2002. They would like students to participate by creating artwork that will be exhibited at the Community Center. The theme is Astronomy and Space Art. The artwork pieces will be picked up at the school office the week of October 7, 2002. We hope to receive many contributions again this year, making this fun project a great success.
