New Virus Threat - BugBear appeared on Sunday and has already been elevated to HIGH RISK by the anti-virus companies. Yesterday was the time to update your anti-virus software, but if you haven't yet done so, NOW is the time.

Bugbear arrives via e-mail with no distinct characteristics except for an attached file that is always 50,688 bytes long. The subject line and text may be taken from existing e-mail. Antivirus companies recommend that users download
Microsoft's Outlook patch, update their antivirus programs and avoid clicking on mysterious attachments unless the sender confirms it is safe.

Allow children to get drinks before they leave at the end of the day.
Ms. Shay-Diehl's class won the FFA membership drive contest with 60% participation. Congratulations! $35.00 will be deposited into their class account. Mr. Jonasse's class came in second place with 48%.
Spell-a-thon begins Friday, October 4th. Packets in your boxes should go home as soon as possible. Remind students that there are prizes for each grade's winners - 1st-$25.00, 2nd-$15.00, 3rd-$10.00. Spelling lists and instructions will be in boxes Monday.

Decorations for the office are due by Friday, October 4. Sixth grade has this month's display.
4th through 6th grade teachers - please remind your students that they are not to be on the primary playground. Teachers on duty from 8:40 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. are having a problem with upper grade boys joining in primary basketball games.
