Surgery Update - Brenda's surgery went well. She was in her room at Eisenhower, sore and mostly sleeping, but beginning her recovery following the 2½ to 3 hour operation. Donna O'Flanagan will be stopping in to check on her tomorrow.

Brenda
As most of you know, Brenda is having surgery for a herniated disc in her neck. She called me this afternoon to fill me in on the specifics.
She will be having surgery at Eisenhower on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at 7:15 a.m. The procedure is called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion. It should take about 2 hours to complete. Her recovery should take 3-4 weeks.
While Brenda's out, Pat Long will be filling in at the front desk. Please stop by and introduce yourself to her the next time you're through the office.

 Just because it swims like a duck and quacks like a duck doesn't always necessarily mean it's a duck. Such is the case of yet another 'worm' squirming its way through cyberspace this weekend. Termed Swen-A it disguises itself as an emailed security patch from Microsoft Corporation. It is NOT! Do NOT follow its instructions or else you will fall victim to yet another ingenious method of spreading computer chaos. For further information click on the worm. 
Remember, it looks official and masquerades like it comes from Microsoft. It is NOT. Microsoft Corporation NEVER sends patches (software) via email.
For once it's a good thing that most folks procrastinate when it comes to updating.
